Marin Dacos is the French National Open Science Coordinator at the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research. He has been highly involved in the writing process of the French Open Science Plans, and is coordinating the activities of the French Open Science Committee. He has been the Founding Director of OpenEdition, a scholarly infrastructure dedicated to open access publications in human and social sciences (HSS), created in 1999, considered as a leading European initiative. He received the prestigious CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research) innovation medal in 2016.

HENRIIKKA MUSTAJOKI

Henriikka Mustajoki is a strong advocate for open science, driving policy and coordination efforts in Finland and internationally. As Secretary General of Finland’s National Open Science Coordination, she leads national discussions, stakeholder engagement, and international collaborations to advance open research practices.
In GRIOS, Henriikka brings her expertise in science policy and coordination to support the synthesis of research on open science. She contributes to shaping strategic directions, ensuring that evidence-based insights inform policy development and implementation. Her work strengthens the connections between researchers, policymakers, and institutions, fostering a global dialogue on open science. With extensive experience in research administration and policy, Henriikka aligns GRIOS initiative with her broader efforts to make science more transparent, accessible, and impactful.

FLORIAN NAUDET

Florian Naudet (MD, PhD) is a meta-researcher and founding member of the Global Research Initiative on Open Science (GRIOS). A former post-doctoral fellow at METRICS (Meta-research Innovation Center at Stanford), he is currently a Professor of Therapeutics at Rennes University and a senior member of the Institut Universitaire de France. Florian’s research focuses on developing and evaluating open science methodologies to assess treatments with transparency and reproducibility. He is also dedicated to addressing research waste and improving data-sharing practices.
Florian advocates for Open Science principles to foster collaboration, transparency, and reproducibility, aiming to enhance the efficiency and integrity of global scientific research.

Sylvie Rousset

Dr Sylvie Rousset is a senior researcher at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), and Director of the Open Research Data Department (DDOR) at the CNRS headquarters. She headed the Quantum Materials and Phenomena unit from 2007 to 2010, before becoming the leader of the Nanosciences Center (Priority Research Area) of the greater Paris region (2010-2014). In 2014, she was elected Vice President of Research at the Université Paris Diderot (now University of Paris Cité). In November 2018, she became Director of the CNRS Scientific and Technical Information Department (DIST), which has since evolved into the Department of Open Research Data (DDOR). In this role, she is responsible for conducting the open science policy of CNRS. Dr. Rousset served as a member of the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA) Steering Board from December 2022 to December 2024.

NORA PAPP-LE ROY

Nora Papp-Le Roy is the Coordinator of GRIOS office at ESF in Strasbourg. She has over 20 years of experience gained in the international arena, promoting international scientific cooperation, global policies and membership engagement, and specialising in project management, advocacy and large-scale event organisation. Previously she worked at the International Science Council in Paris in the field of global science for policy, and at the OECD in the fields of Green Growth and Policy Coherence for Development. In addition to GRIOS, she coordinates the cOAlition S activities at ESF.
Nora holds a MSc in Economic Sciences and International Relations from the University of Economic Sciences of Budapest, and an Executive degree in Advocacy in International Affairs from the Graduate Institute of Geneva.

Marc Schiltz

Marc Schiltz

Marc Schiltz holds a PhD in science (Crystallography) from University of Paris-Sud (now University Paris Saclay) and an Executive MBA from INSEAD. He has more than 30 years of experience in academic roles as university researcher and teacher, as well as strategic leadership roles in research and funding organizations, acquired in several countries and institutions. From 2017 to 2023, he served as President of Science Europe, the umbrella association of Europe’s leading national research funding bodies, In this role, he helped shaping the European agenda to foster open science and was one of the initiators of cOAlition S. He was also one of the architects of the proposal to reform the research evaluation system which led to the creation of the international coalition CoARA, whose aim is to develop a common vision for the reform of research evaluation and which today includes more than 600 universities, organizations and research institutions around the world. He is currently Head science advisor to the Parliament of Luxembourg and acts as GRIOS Ambassador.
